IS YOUR HOME STAGED TO SELL?

Staging homes is something I am so excited about! If you have watched any "home shows", you know exactly what I am talking about.

What is home staging? Did you know that only a mere 10% of home buyers can actually visualize the potential of a home? This is why having a home staged is so important. Home Staging is NOT decorating, fluffing, interior design or redesign!

Home Staging IS:
· Detailing
· De-cluttering
· Depersonalizing

A Staged Home:
· Gives your home a "model home" appearance so that the potential buyer can "see" themselves living there.
· Creates positive first impressions at the curb and in each room.
· Allows prospective buyers to see the home's potential and picture themselves living there.
· Is the process of visually preparing your home to appeal to the broadest possible segment of the buyer population.

You’re right. Every house will sell…it’s a matter of when and for how much. Even if your house sells quickly in a good market, it doesn’t mean it sold for the amount it would have sold for had it been professionally staged. Staged homes sell on a conservative average for 6%+ more.

Remember, home sellers are usually incapable of successfully staging their own home. Why? Because our homes are like our children, we don’t always see all of its flaws. We’ve gotten used to the way it looks and in fact it is difficult emotionally to change it. If you can’t view something objectively then you are unable to market and package it effectively. Not to mention most home sellers don't "stage" homes everyday for a living.

Spring season is upon us and I want to partner with my clients, their friends and family, to help their homes COMPETE in a Buyers Marketplace!

I knew this was something I could do. I actually have been doing this for quite sometime without even realizing that I was actually staging homes to sell. I decided to take a class on home staging and now it is something that I do for all of my sellers and buyers. Believe it or not, buyers can benefit from a home stager by "seeing" a homes potential. I can help you see what a home could look like and realize the potential that property has.

Don't forget, it doesn't have to cost you money to stage your home! Basic staging is free, using what you have to accent your home's best assets.
